MIL-STD-40051/2 (W/CHANGE 1), DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE STANDARD PRACTICE: PREPARATION OF DIGITAL TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR PAGE-BASED TECHNICAL MANUALS (TMs) (12 MAY 2006)., This standard establishes the technical content, style, and format requirements for all Technical Manuals (TMs) for major weapon systems and their related systems, subsystems, equipment, Weapons Replacement Assemblies (WRAs), and Shop Replacement Assemblies (SRAs), including Destruction of Army Materiel to Prevent Enemy Use, Battle Damage
Assessment and Repair (BDAR), Preventive Maintenance Checklists (PMCs), Lubrication Orders (LOs), and Ammunition Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs). The requirements are applicable for all maintenance levels/classes through overhaul (depot) including DMWRs and National Maintenance Work Requirements (NMWRs). The requirements can be used to develop TMs in paper, page-based manuals.
