MULTI-OUTPUT PRESENTATION OF TECHNICAL MANUALS (31 JAN 2003) [S/S BY MIL-STD-40051/1 OR MIL-STD-40051/2]., This standard establishes the technical content, style and format requirements for all
technical manuals (TMs) for major weapon systems, and their related systems, subsystems,
equipment, weapons replacement assemblies (WRAs), and shop replacement assemblies (SRAs).
The requirements are applicable for all maintenance levels through overhaul (depot) including
Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs) and National Maintenance Work
Requirements (NMWRs). The requirements can be used to develop TMs in a variety of output
forms including interactive screen presentations (frame-based manuals) and paper paged-based
manuals.
