MIL-STD-40051/1A, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE STANDARD PRACTICE: PREPARATION OF DIGITAL TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC TECHNICAL MANUALS (IETMs) (21 JUL 2010)., This standard establishes the technical content, style, format, and functionality
requirements for all Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) for major weapon
systems and their related systems, subsystems, equipment, Weapons Replacement Assemblies
(WRAs) and, Shop Replacement Assemblies (SRAs) including Destruction of Army Materiel to
Prevent Enemy Use, Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR), Preventive Maintenance
Checklists (PMCs), Lubrication Orders (LOs), and Ammunition Depot Maintenance Work
Requirements (DMWRs). The requirements are applicable for all maintenance levels/classes
through overhaul (depot) including DMWRs and National Maintenance Work Requirements
(NMWRs). The requirements can be used to develop IETMs for interactive screen presentations.
