DI-TMSS-81584, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION: GUIDELINES FOR USE AND OPERATION INFOSEC EQUIPMENT (TYPE IV) (05-OCT-2000) [SUPERSEDING DI-M-5565]., The DID contains the format, content and intended use information for the data deliverable called for in the Contract Data Requirements List. A. It provides the user with the general description of the equipment/system; physical and cryptosecurity guidelines; detailed, step-by-step operating instructions, including rationale; and operator's problem solving guide; and TEMPEST considerations, if required. B. It is used by instructors to develop courses of instruction, self-study and classroom oriented; by Service documentation developers who will extract those appropriate portions for inclusion in the individual Service's manual and will extract information required to publish abbreviated operation instructions; by system planners who are responsible for developing implementation plans, keying concepts and keying requirements; and, where applicable and appropriate, by operators to operate the INFOSEC equipment/system. This Data Item Description replaces DI-M-5565, which was previously canceled.
