OPNAVINST 8000.16C, THE NAVAL ORDNANCE MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (NOMMP) (VOLUME III: SURFACE ORDNANCE)., (1 SEPT 2006)., This chapter addresses functional areas of inventory management. This includes the distribution and stocking of non-nuclear ordnance; requisitioning, returning, issuing, receiving, and storing of ordnance items; the reporting of physical assets; the logistics support interfaces between the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Marine Corps, U. S. Coast Guard, and the Single Manager for Conventional Ammunition (SMCA), respectively; and the management responsibilities for mobilization planning in support of contingencies.
