STANDARD: PARTS, MATERIALS, AND PROCESSES (PMP)
CONTROL PROGRAM FOR EXPENDABLE LAUNCH VEHICLES (ELV) (31-JUL-2015)., This document establishes the requirements for the preparation, implementation, and operation of a Parts,
Materials, and Processes (PMP) Control Program for use during the design, development, and production
of mission critical components, as defined in Section 3 herein, on expendable launch vehicles (ELVs).
The implementation of these requirements is intended to:
1. Assure integrated management of the selection, application, procurement, control, and
standardization of parts, materials, and processes (PMP)
2. Improve the reliability of program PMP to reduce PMP failures at all levels of assembly and test
3. Reduce program lifecycle cost
4. Improve procurement and test of small quantities of parts and materials that meet system
requirements
