STANDARD: PARTS, MATERIALS, AND PROCESSES (PMP) TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SPACE AND LAUNCH VEHICLES (12-JAN-2009) [SUPERSEDES SMC-S-010 (2008)]., This revised SMC standard comprises the text of The Aerospace Corporation report number TOR-2006(8583)-5236, dated 30 September 2008, and comprises the following major changes: organized for more user-friendly \"search and fine\"; enhanced hybrid element evaluation; incorporates prime contractor suggested comments; and incorporates more flexible derating requirements to allow some NASA hardware. This document establishes the minimum technical requirements for electronic parts, materials, and
processes (electronic PMP) used in the design, development, and fabrication of space and launch vehicles.
Application information, design and construction information, and quality assurance provisions are provided herein.
All electronic PMP selected for use in space and launch vehicles shall meet the requirements specified herein, unless
otherwise approved by the program. Either the contractor or its subcontractors may accomplish these requirements.
However, the prime contractor has the responsibility for ensuring all requirements are met.
