SAE-J24714, ADOPTION NOTICE: FLUID SYSTEMS - CONNECTOR TUBES - GENERAL SPECIFICATION AND PART STANDARD (15-OCT-2002) [SUPERSEDING MIL-C-24714]., SAE-J24714, \"Fluid Systems-Connector Tubes-General Specification and Part Standard\", was adopted on 15-OCT-02 for use by the Department of Defense (DoD). Copies of this document may be purchased from the Society of Automotive Engineers, Inc., 400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, PA 15096-0001. SAE J24714 should be used instead of MIL-C-24714(SH) and MIL-C-24714/1(SH), which were cancelled on 15 October 2002 This SAE Standard identifies the material and dimensional requirements for component connector tubes and related items for use in fluid power components. Connector tubes are also identified as quills, ferrules or transfer tubes. Connector tubes are used to connect fluid passages within a component or to connect one component to another; for example, connecting control valves to subplates. Related items include plugs, undrilled connector tubes and connector tubes for internal check valves and restrictors.
