NASA-STD-8739.3 (W/ CHANGE 2), NASA TECHNICAL STANDARD: SOLDERED ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS (DEC 1997) [SUPERSEDES NHB 5300.4(3A-2)] [S/S BY IPC J-STD-001ES AND NASA-STD-8739.6]., NOTE: ASA has adopted IPC J-STD-001ES for all Programs and Projects, effective on October 17, 2011. The NASA standards for soldering, NASA-STD-8739.2 and NASA-STD-8739.3, are cancelled as of October 17, 2011. NASA-STD-8739.6, Implementation for NASA Workmanship Standards was published in 2012 to provide additional instructions for implementation of J-STD-001ES on NASA Programs. This standard provides the baseline for NASA project offices to use when preparing or evaluating process procedures for the manufacture of space flight hardware or mission critical ground support equipment.
