NASA supports space and Earth science research and aerospace technology development through the use of rockets, balloons, aircraft, and small spacecraft. In support of these activities, Wallops offers a variety of services and operates a number of unique research facilities, including a launch range, research airport, scientific laboratories, and manufacturing and testing facilities. Because of unique scientific requirements, Wallops also maintains capabilities to conduct research activities worldwide.
