MIL-STD-1766C, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE STANDARD PRACTICE: NUCLEAR HARDNESS AND SURVIVABILITY PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS FOR ICBM WEAPON SYSTEMS (17-JAN-2017)
MIL-STD-1766C, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE STANDARD PRACTICE: NUCLEAR HARDNESS AND SURVIVABILITY PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS FOR ICBM WEAPON SYSTEMS (17-JAN-2017)., This standard defines nuclear hardness and survivability (NH&S) requirements,
procedures, and practices for use during the acquisition life-cycle phases of the intercontinental
ballistic missile (ICBM) weapon systems (see A.3.2). For the design, development,
production, deployment, and operation of ICBM weapon systems, it implements Department of
Defense Directive (DODD) 5000.01 which requires programs to address survivability as part of
the acquisition process and it implements the NH&S aspects of Air Force Instructions (AFI) AFI
63-101/20-101, Acquisition and Sustainment Life Cycle Management and AFI 10-2607, "Air
Force Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Survivability."
