MIL-STD-1766B, MILITARY STANDARD: NUCLEAR HARDNESS AND SURVIVABILITY PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS FOR ICBM WEAPON SYSTEMS (04 SEP 1994) [SUPERSEDES DOD-STD-1766]. This standard defines nuclear harness and survivability (NH&S) requirements, procedures, and practices for use during the concept exploration and definition, demonstration, and operations and support phases of the systems life cycle of intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) weapon systems. It implements for the design, development, production, deployment, and operation of ICBM weapon systems the NH&S policy established by Air Force Regulation (AFR) APD 62-2 (Systems Survivability) and AFI 62-201 (Instruction for the Air Force Systems Survivability Program) and Department of Defense Directive (DODD) 4245.4 (Acquisition of Nuclear Survivable Systems).
