MIL-STD-1587E, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DESIGN CRITERIA STANDARD: MATERIAL AND PROCESS REQUIREMENTS FOR AEROSPACE WEAPONS SYSTEMS (23-JUL-2018)
MIL-STD-1587E, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DESIGN CRITERIA STANDARD:
MATERIAL AND PROCESS REQUIREMENTS FOR AEROSPACE WEAPONS SYSTEMS (23-JUL-2018)., This standard establishes the requirements for materials and processes used during design and production of aerospace weapons systems and associated support equipment. When used in conjunction with MIL-STD-1530, the other integrity program documents (MIL-STD-1798, MIL-HDBK-1783, etc.), and MIL-STD-1568, it is expected that structurally reliable aerospace systems having a good balance between acquisition costs and life cycle costs will result. Authority to exceed or amend the requirements in this standard requires permission from the cognizant engineering authority (CEA) of the procuring activity.
