MIL-STD-1459 (NOTICE 2), MILITARY STANDARD, MACROGRAPH STANDARDS FOR STEEL BARS, BILLETS, AND BLOOMS FOR AMMUNITION COMPONENTS (15 SEP 1993) [S/S BY ASTM-E381]., MIL–STD–1459 (AR), dated 01 May 1973, and Revision A, dated 04 September 1973, are hereby canceled. Future acquisitions which require this standard should refer to appropriate portions of ASTM E 381 –79, entitled: “Standard Method of Macroetch Testing, Inspection, and Rating Steel Products, Comprising Bars, Billets, Blooms, and Forgings”.
