MIL-STD-740B (NOTICE-1), MILITARY STANDARD: AIRBORNE AND STRUCTURE-BORNE NOISE MEASUREMENTS AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA of SHIPBOARD EQUIPMENT (17-APR-2012) [SUPERSEDING MIL-E-22843] [S/S by MIL-STD-740-1, MIL-STD-740-2 and MIL-STD-1474]., MIL-STD-740B, dated 22 June 1965, is hereby canceled. MIL-STD-740-1, “Airborne Sound Measurements and Acceptance Criteria of Shipboard Equipment,” MIL-STD-740-2, “Structureborne Vibratory Acceleration Measurements and Acceptance Criteria of Shipboard Equipment,” and the “Shipboard Equipment Noise” Requirement of MIL-STD-1474, “Noise Limits,” supersede MIL-STD-740B.
