MIL-STD-188/136A (NOTICE 1), MILITARY STANDARD: SATELLITE DATA LINK STANDARD (SDLS) FOR EHF MEDIUM DATA RATE (MDR) UPLINKS AND DOWNLINKS (U)(26 JUL 20
MIL-STD-188/136A (NOTICE 1), MILITARY STANDARD: SATELLITE DATA LINK STANDARD (SDLS) FOR EHF MEDIUM DATA RATE (MDR) UPLINKS AND DOWNLINKS (U)(26 JUL 2004)., MIL-STD-188-136A this standard describes the common transmission format
(i.e., waveforms, signal processing, and data format) for medium data rate (MDR) satellite communications links at 4.8 kbps to 1544 kbps (T1) using the 44 GHz EHF uplink band and the 20 GHz SHF downlink band. The MDR link format is compatible with concurrent provision of LDR communications service in the same system (i.e., satellite and terminals). The purpose of this document is to ensure terminal-to-satellite and terminal-to-terminal interoperability between EHF MDR compliant satellites and terminals. The distribution of this military standard is restricted to DoD components.
Because of this controlled distribution and the classification of the document all
releases of this standard require the approval of the Preparing Activity (PA).
