MIL-L-46000C, MILITARY SPECIFICATION: LUBRICANT, SEMI-FLUID (AUTOMATIC WEAPONS) (25-FEB-1987)., Reactivated after 15 September 2011 and may be used for new and existing designs and acquisitions. This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. This specification covers a semi-fluid lubricant for automatic weapons operating within a temperature range of -54 degrees to +127 degrees C (-65 degrees to +260 F degrees ), (See 6.1) The lubricant is identified by Military Symbol LSA and NATO Code Number 0-158 (6.7).
