New systems should use MIL-STD-40051-1A "DOD Standard Practice, Preparation of Technical Information for Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)" and MILSTD- 40051-2A entitled "DOD Standard Practice, Preparation of Technical Information for Page-Based Technical Manuals", to acquire technical manuals.
