MIL-PRF-32381, PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION: ACOUSTIC HAILING DEVICE (LIGHT) (20 MAY 2011)., This specification is approved for use by the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. This specification describes the performance requirements and verification procedures for the Acoustic Hailing Device, (Light) hereafter referred to as the AHD. The term AHD will be used when requirements or verifications apply to the entire system. The individual component name will be used for requirements or verifications that are unique to that part. The AHD is a system comprised of these integral components: a. An emitter head (directional speaker) b. An audio input device to store and play prerecorded sounds c. A microphone for live broadcast d. A visual aiming device e. A vehicle mounting kit f. Power and interface cables as required g. Transportation case
