MIL-PRF-2819F, PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION: INSULATION BLOCK, THERMAL (07-OCT-1975) [SUPERSEDING MIL-I-2819]., This specification covers thermal insulation block for use on machinery and equipment at surface temperatures up to the limits for the classes specified. The insulation covered by this specification is intended for use for thermal insulation of shipboard machinery and equipment operating to a 1,200 DEG F surface temperature for Class 2 and to a 1,700 DEG F for Class 3. Class 3 is recommended for use on boilers.
