ASTM International Standards, ASTM B296, "Standard Practice for Temper Designations of Magnesium Alloys, Cast and Wrought" and ASTM B275, "Standard Practice for Codification of Certain Nonferrous Metals and Alloys, Cast and Wrought" supersedes MIL-HDBK-305. Users are cautioned to evaluate these documents for their particular application before citing it as a replacement document.
