This handbook is intended to provide the Department of Defense design, engineering, maintenance, training personnel and government contractors� access to a database; via hyperlink, http://www.mil-hdbk-300.wpafb.af.mil/insert.htm displaying DoD In-inventory, Aerospace and Missile Support Equipment (SE). This database will include a functional and technical description, associated technical orders, technical manuals, or commercial catalogues, relationship to similar equipment, end item(s) this support equipment is used on, and a simple line drawing. For government contractors, the handbook database is intended to provide sufficient information on a piece of support equipment so that it may be considered for a contemplated application. Use of this data system is intended to provide for maximum usage of in-inventory assets, and the elimination of duplicate design or development of support equipment for different weapon systems.
