AC 25.571-1D, ADVISORY CIRCULAR: DAMAGE TOLERANCE AND FATIGUE EVALUATION OF STRUCTURES (13-JAN-2011)., This advisory circular (AC) provides guidance for compliance with the provisions of Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 25, pertaining to the requirements for damage-tolerance and fatigue evaluation of transport category aircraft structure, including evaluation of widespread fatigue damage (WFD) and establishing a limit of validity of the engineering data that supports the structural-maintenance program (hereafter referred to as the LOV). This AC also includes guidance pertaining to discrete source damage.
