UFC 3-120-01, UNIFIED FACILITIES CRITERIA (UFC): AIR FORCE SIGN STANDARD (06 FEB 2003)
UFC 3-120-01, UNIFIED FACILITIES CRITERIA (UFC): AIR FORCE SIGN STANDARD (06 FEB 2003)., The intent of this document is to standardize the design, construction and placement of Air Force signs. This document sets standards for identification, direction, regulation, motivation and information signs; street address signs; base destination signs; parking regulation signs; and interior
signs. The criteria introduced in this document are intended for implementation at all Air Force installations. Implementation is subject to funding priorities, mission objectives and MAJCOM coordination. MAJCOMs are encouraged to adopt these standards, but do have the authority to
adjust them to meet their own objectives for design and compatibility, using the standard colors listed in paragraph 2.18. This authority does not, however, apply to the portion of these criteria which are based on such national standards as the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG), and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS). The ADAAG, UFAS, and the Federal Highway Administration’s MUTCD are national standards for sign design and placement. The MUTCD is the authority for all traffic control devices on Air Force installations.
