SO300-BT-PRO-010, GOVERNMENT - INDUSTRY DATA EXCHANGE PROGRAM (GIDEP) OPERATIONS MANUAL (W/ 10 SEP 2010 UPDATES)., The Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) is a cooperative effort to exchange research, development, design, testing, acquisition and logistics information among government and industry participants. GIDEP seeks to reduce or eliminate expenditures of time and money and to improve the total quality and reliability of systems and components during the acquisition and logistics phases of the life cycle. The GIDEP Operations Manual provides guidance for participation in the program (Chapters 1 through 4), reporting requirements (Chapter 5), and procedures for the exchange of reports, data and information (Chapters 5 through 11). The manual is shown as a best management practice in the DoD Deskbook.
