DOE-STD-1146-2007 GENERAL TECHNICAL BASE QUALIFICATION STANDARD

DOE–STD–1146–2007, This technical qualification standard identifies the minimum technical competency requirements for DOE personnel. Although there are other competency requirements associated with the positions held by DOE personnel, this standard is limited to identifying the specific, common technical competencies required throughout all defense nuclear facilities. The competency requirements define the expected knowledge and/or skill that an individual must meet. Each of the competency requirements is further described by a list of supporting knowledge and/or skill statements. The supporting knowledge and/or skill statements for each competency statement are provided to challenge the employee in the breadth and depth of his/her understanding of the subject matter. Thus, the employee should be prepared to explain or demonstrate proficiency in all or part of the supporting knowledge and/or skill statements for each competency statement to the qualifying official or examining authority.
