The CMP may be tailored to fit project-unique configuration management requirements based on the life-cycle phase, complexity, size, intended use (including joint and combined interoperability), mission criticality, and logistic support of the project’s Configuration Items (CIs). If a section or paragraph is tailored out, the following statement shall be added directly following the heading: “This section has been tailored out.”
