DI-SESS-81884, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION (DID): CONFIGURATION STATUS ACCOUNTING INFORMATION (MIL-STD-3046) (28-FEB-2013) [S/S BY DI-SESS-81523]., The Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) information provides details about the current configuration of items being developed for and/or used in the DoD inventory; about documentation and identification numbers relating to those items; and about changes to the items and their configuration documentation. This information is needed to manage and support those items during their life cycle. This DID contains the format, content and preparation instructions for the data product resulting from the work task specified in the solicitation. This DID contains the delivery requirements for CSA information; the format for delivery, either in hard copy or electronic form, must be specified in the contract. This DID is approved for use by the US Army to support the Army interim standard MIL-STD-3046, which will be canceled when a suitable non-government standard is developed or until two years from the date of the standard. When MIL-STD-3046 is canceled, this DID will also be canceled.
