DI-SESS-81881, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION (DID): NOTICE OF REVISION (NOR) (MIL-STD-3046) (28-FEB-2013) [S/S BY DI-SESS-81881]., An NOR describes the proposed changes to a technical document being requested by an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). After ECP approval, the NOR is forwarded to the custodian of each specification, drawing, associated list, or other applicable document(s) so they can make the required documentation changes. This DID contains the format, content and preparation instructions for the data product resulting from the work task specified in the contract. This DID is used in conjunction with an ECP, DI-SESS-81881. A requirement for ECPs should be contractually imposed in conjunction with this DID. This DID is approved for use by the US Army to support the Army interim standard MIL-STD-3046, which will be canceled when a suitable non-government standard is developed or until two years from the date of the standard. When MIL-STD-3046 is canceled, this DID will also be canceled.
