DI-SESS-81758, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION: LOGISTICS PRODUCT DATA (16 JUL 2008)., Logistics Product Data comprises the support and support-related engineering and logistics data acquired from contractors that the requiring authority needs to develop their internal materiel management processes. This includes data for maintenance planning, to include identification of resources (e.g. personnel, support equipment, facilities and transportation), initial provisioning, cataloging, item management and in-service feedback. a. This DID contains the format and content preparation instructions for Logistics Product Data required by Section 2 and Appendix A of GEIA-STD-0007, Logistics Product Data. b. This DID is applicable to the acquisition of military systems, equipment and components. It is not intended that all the requirements contained herein should be applied to every program. This DID should be tailored to the minimum requirements of the applicable contract or purchase order. c. The delivery method (e.g. on-line access, compact disk, DVD, etc.) are left to the discretion of the requiring authority and the contractor.
