DI-SESS-81744, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION: SPECIAL TOOLING/SPECIAL TEST EQUIPMENT (ST/STE) INFORMATION FOR THE AIR FORCE EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (AFEMS) (27 MAR 2007)., Special Tooling/Special Test Equipment (ST/STE) Information for the Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) will be used to obtain information from the contractor necessary to populate the AFEMS with ST/STE data. a. AFEMS is responsible for tracking asset quantities and locations globally for a wide range of Air Force materials. The ST/STE information will provide Air Force managers with centralized asset visibility for ST/STE items. b. This DID contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific and discrete task requirement as delineated in the contract.
