DI-SESS-81626, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION: CONTRACTOR INTEGRATED TECHNICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION PLAN (CITIS-IP) (01 AUG 2001)., The CITIS-IP describes the way in which the CITIS will
implement an Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) and an
Integrated Data Environment (IDE) throughout the life of the contract to satisfy
service, infrastructure, media, and format requirements identified in the contract.
a. The CITIS-IP implements an ongoing forum to communicate the
contractor’s ability to integrate and provide the digital data services and
products throughout the life of the contract.
b. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format and content
preparation instructions for the data product generated by the specific
and discrete task required as delineated in the contract.
c. The CITIS-IP serves as a record for the contractor’s CITIS
implementation activities at a fixed date in the life of the contract.
Periodic Government and contractor reviews of the CITIS -IP over the
life of the contract are necessary to determine if an update is required
to incorporate current changes in computer technology, process
improvements, or CITIS infrastructure requirements.
