DI-QCIC-81722, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION: QUALITY PROGRAM PLAN (QPP) (29-NOV-2006)., The Quality Program Plan (QPP) describes the methodology that will be used to meet the
quality requirements needed for the specific program. The object of the plan is to define
and document what, where, and how to procure, fabricate, assemble, inspect, test and
deliver only units and other end products that conform to quality standards. The QPP
should start with the contractor’s standard quality system and detail changes to that. The
QPP shall be used to verify attainability of contract objectives in the area of producing
reliable, quality products. This DID is applicable to development, low rate initial
production and full rate production efforts.
a. This DID contains the format and content preparation instructions for the data product
generated by the specific requirement delineated in the contract and International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001, Quality Management Systems –
Requirements (Entire Document).
b. The prime contractor is required to include information from significant suppliers (eg,
PWAs) or teammates regarding their standard quality system requirements and any
deviations specific to this program.
