The requirements for Type II, Class 3 and 4 in this document are replacing A-A-50135. The requirements for Type III, Classes 5, 6 and 7 in this document are replacing Type I through IV of A-A-50186. The requirements stated in A-A-50186, Type V - Nonwoven are not included here. The requirements for Type III Class 8 and 9 in this document are replacing A-A-52097. The requirements for Type IV in this document are replacing A-A-52086. This Commercial Item Description covers the requirements for the cloth, interfacings, woven, cotton and synthetic intended for use as reinforcement materials on various clothing and hat items. (Note: The term interfacing instead of interlining is the correct term to describe the cloths cited in this document). This CID includes interfacing requirements previously specified in five (5) different CIDs, (see cross reference 7.3).
