A-A-59515, COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION: MITTEN INSERTS, AIRCREW, WOOL, HEAVY, TYPE N-3B (28-OCT-1999) [SUPERSEDES MIL-G-6270C]., The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description in preference to MIL-M-6270. This commercial item description covers mitten inserts worn by aircrew personnel under leather mittens (see figure 1). The mitten shall be made in one size. The mitten shall be manufactured with wool-nylon blend mixed, carded, spun and twisted. The hand will be a plain stitch and the cuff a 1 X 1 rib stitch. The construction shall be seamless.
