A-A-58005, COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION: TRUCK, FIRE FIGHTING (TELESCOPING AERIAL LADDER AND WORK PLATFORM) (02 APR 1992)., This Commercial Item Description (CID) describes a straight frame, diesel engine driven, fire truck with aerial ladder platform. The minimum vertical elevation of the platform shall be 95 feet when measured at 75 degrees above the horizontal. The horizontal reach of the extended platform shall be a minimum of 85 feet from the side of the truck. The platform shall be capable of depressing below the horizontal sufficiently to step aboard from ground level 50 feet from the side of the truck. A power take off (PTO) driven pump shall be capable of pumping from draft and discharging from the platform turret at a rate of 1250 gallons per minute (GPM) while fully extended and elevated.
