These connectors are designed for use in telecommunication equipment, particularly as an interface between computerized equipment and telephone lines. These connectors may also be used in such systems as satellite ground stations, aircraft ground test equipment, and simulators. Connectors covered by this CID are intended for commercial/industrial applications and shall not be used in military systems needing stringent environmental and electrical requirements.
