The portable gantry is used indoor for support of lifting or hoisting apparatus in automotive, boat assembly and machine shops and to a limited extent, the transportation of workloads within the shop area. Items previously supplied to MIL-G-28673 shall be considered two-way interchangeable, (see cross-reference chart shown in 7.5).
