AN914 (REV. 9) (NOTICE 1), AIR FORCE-NAVY AERONAUTICAL STANDARD: ELBOW, PIPE, INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL THREAD, 90 DEG. (22 APR 1999) [S/S BY SAE-AS4854]., AN914 REV 9, dated 20 March 1979, is hereby cancelled. Future acquisitions for this item should refer to Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Aerospace Standard (AS) AS4854, "Elbow, 90°, Pipe, Internal and External Thread." Table 1 provides a detailed cross-reference of cancelled AN914 Part or Identifying Numbers (PINs) and replacement AS4854 PINs. The use of "AS" parts is preferable, but "AN" parts may be used for a period of three years from the date of this notice to deplete existing stock. Users are cautioned to evaluate replacements for their particular application.
