AN839 (REV. 8) (NOTICE 1) MILITARY STANDARD: ELBOW, TUBE TO HOSE, 45 DEGREES (20 JUL 2000)., AN839 REV 7, dated 30 August 1982, is hereby cancelled. Future acquisitions for this item should refer to Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Aerospace Standard (AS) AS5182, "Fitting, Elbow, 45 Degree, Bulkhead, Flared to Hose." Table 1 provides a detailed cross-reference of cancelled AN839 Part or Identifying Numbers (PINs) and replacement AS5182 PINs. The use of "AS" parts is preferable, but "MS" parts may be used for a period of three years from the date of this notice to deplete existing stock. Users are cautioned to evaluate replacements for their particular application.
