NAVFAC MO-405, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF ACTIVE SOLAR HEARING SYSTEMS (JUL 1990)., This Maintenance and Operations (MO) Manual contains information on the operation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of liquid solar heating systems. That is, solar heating or cooling systems using liquid, rather than air, to gather heat, pumps to move it and tanks of water to store it. The standards and methods presented are intended to accomplish the inspection, maintenance, and repair of liquid solar heating and cooling systems in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
