SAE-AS568 ADOPTION NOTICE: O-RINGS, AEROSPACE STANDARD FOR (12 JUL 2005)., SAE-AS568, "O-RINGS, AEROSPACE SIZE STANDARD FOR", was adopted on 12 JULY 2005 for use by the Department of Defense (DoD). This Aerospace Standard specifies the inside diameters, cross-sections, tolerances, and size identification codes (dash numbers) for O-rings used in sealing applications and for straight thread tube fitting boss caskets. The dimensions and tolerances specificed in this standard are suitable for any elastomeric material provided that suitable tooling is available.
