LPR 1710.10, SAFETY CLEARANCE PROCEDURES FOR THE CONTROL OF HAZARDOUS ENERGY (LOCKOUT/TAGOUT) (14 JAN 2005)., This Langley Research Center Procedural Requirements (LPR) sets forth detailed Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements to ensure personnel and equipment safety by controlling hazardous energy sources during installation, maintenance, repair, inspections, or in any situation where an unexpected energization or start up of the machine or equipment or release of stored energy could cause injury to employees or damage to equipment. This LPR is a part of the LaRC safety program and is intended to assist supervisors and employees with their individual responsibility for safety.
