FAA-STD-043A, DOT FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION STANDARD: NATIONAL AIRSPACE SYSTEM (NAS) OPEN SYSTEM INTERCONNECTION (OSI) PRIORITY (10 MAY 1994)., The purpose of this standard is to define a common set of priority indicators for use within the NAS. The priority indicators are to be used by the application processes when it is desired to transfer messages, between communications NAS open-systems,as a function of their relative importance.
