UFC 3-400-02, DESIGN: ENGINEERING WEATHER DATA (28 FEB 2003)., PURPOSE: The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of and instructions for access to climatological data available for use by engineers designing government structures. SCOPE: The Air Force Combat Climatology Center (AFCCC) compiled the data in this document at the request of the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency (HQ AFCESA). Sites were identified by AFCESA, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM). Final selection of sites was based upon availability of climatological data. Most are located at military installations supporting airfield operations, or at local airports/airfields.
