AN933 (REV.6) (NOTICE 1), AIR FORCE-NAVY AERONAUTICAL STANDARD: PLUG, PIPE, HEX HEAD (22 APR 1999) [S/S BY SAE-AS4862]., AN933 REV 6, dated 21 March 1979, is hereby cancelled. Future acquisitions for this item should refer to Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Aerospace Standard (AS) AS4862, "Plug, Pipe, External Thread, Hex Head." Table 1 provides a detailed cross-reference of cancelled AN933 Part or Identifying Numbers (PINs) and replacement AS4862 PINs. The use of "AS" parts is preferable, but "AN" parts may be used for a period of three years from the date of this notice to deplete existing stock. Users are cautioned to evaluate replacements for their particular application.
